Gave them another try this time the sandwidh was even smaller and the quality if rhe corn beef was low grade now I see why the place is always empty at all hours of the day my relationship with all bread basket delis are now over

Exceptional sandwiches that rival those of the legendary deli's of both NY (and Ann Arbor). This place isn't fancy, but you'll leave there with a full belly and a big smile! I'm always amazed at people who claim it's expensive. Apparently, they aren't in tune with what a premium sandwich costs these days. This one easily splits into two meals for most people. It's a legit deli with legit deli food. Oh....try the "non-traditional" deli stuff like the Cheese Steaks and Hot Dogs....you will really surprised at how good this selection is. Easily the best place to have a sandwich in the area by far!

Usually very good. Could swear my cb was microwaved after the sandwich was assembled. Bummer

The best corned beef I ever had. Price is very reasonable. They combine quality and quantity which I think is often overlooked. Would definitely make this an everyday place but my waist line will say otherwise. Great place to break the "everyday" type of food spell.

This Bread Basket location recently opened. I had eaten at other locations in the past and they definitely are well known for their corned beef, I won't deny that. However, if you're going there for anything else besides corned beef, you may be slightly disappointed. Last weekend my husband and I went to this location. He ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, while I ordered the turkey club. While my husband's sandwich was big, it wasn't at all as large as we had imagined it to be (when compared to their notorious corned beef) and it definitely was not worth the money we paid for it. My turkey club was sad looking. The bacon was soggy and almost didn't look completely cooked. The mayonnaise was piled on so thick that the bread ripped at every attempt to eat it, thus creating nothing but a big mess. I felt like I could have made a better quality sandwich at home. This location is also not the greatest. Parking is difficult at best and is located at a very busy intersection. If you're in the mood for corned beef, this is the place to go. If not, go elsewhere.

Stopped here on June 6th on our way to a Tigers/Red Sox game. Our corned beef sandwiches were terrific and equal in quality to other Bread Baskets that we have eaten in previously in other Detriot area locations.

Compared to other Bread Baskets that I have eaten at, this one needs some work. The CB had a good flavor, but was extremely dry, and falling apart to easily. Will retry in a couple weeks, and hopefully they get it right. Maybe they need to leave some fat on for moisture. It was really lean CB. My parents had the same problem a few days after my experience. P.S. the parking lot is pretty small, sometimes it is hard to get in and out of.

What was supposed to be anticipation of a great Corned beef sandwich ended up being a total disappointment. I've eaten at the Livonia location with mixed results. I don't get it. You charge $9.00 for a corned beef sandwich plain and add 60 cents for a roll instead of rye?? Seriously? Asked for Russian on the side, got 3 packets for two sandwiches. Corned beef was not up to par, very bland and the roll was not toasted or buttered. Staff need major lesson in customer service. Not happy spending $17 for two sandwiches and getting attitude when I ask for dressing enough for two sandwiches. Never coming back-this location won't survive this way. Nickel and diming your customers even after asking ridiculous prices for a plain sandwich will get you zero repeat customers. I've had better sandwiches at Arby's at half the price. Avoid this place if you can.

Food makes wait worth it, but the girls working front counter need some lessons in manners very rude and snotty attitudes will turn people off

This place has some of the best deli sandwiches in metro Detroit. The price you pay for the food is just right. you can not leave this place hungry and unsatisfied. They not only made large sandwiches but they are full of flavor.

They charge you 50cents to toast the bread, and they charge you for every packet of no name thousand island dressing. I'm not sure but they may charge you per napkin. The corned beef wasn't that good for being over priced. Save your money. I hope they close soon and put a subway in.

ATTENTION ALL FORMER AT&T Southfield Employees : The Bread Basket has "finally"come to Downriver . Just one bite of their Corned Beef Sandwich takes you back to the best corn beef you have ever eaten.....moist, , juicy, packed with flavor & enough for two !!!! Now if only we could get someone down this way that makes a good jewish bagel .

I was not that impressed. The corned beef was dry. There was barely room to park.

I guess those complaining about the price haven't been to another Deli. This is the going price of a corned beef sandwich. The size and taste is pretty good. Plus I don't have to tip. The corned beef egg rolls are really good. The establishment matches the neighborhood.

We stumbled on it too, wow! We loved it. We had the Corn beef sandwich with coleslaw on rye and the pastrami served the same way. The bread was soft and delicious the meat was very tastey especially with the coleslaw. They are gigantic as well but we couldn't stop eating them and finished them off. Very reasonably priced for the large sandwiches. Too bad the nearest one to our home is over 100 miles away,

Ya I'm with the other review. People don't get out much to buy good food. This place we just stumbled on. We are traveling Had to go to Walgreens across st for some cold medicine. We luckily saw the pictures in the window as we turned. See food .. Let's try THAT place! So on a whim we pulled in. We jokingly asked the girl behind the counter if the food looks like the pictures. Ha ha so we ordered a 17 1/2 for him and I wanted a Ruben. She asked me what size I'm thinking 6 oz maybe too small I'll get 9oz ( of meat). That outta do me. U know feed a cold starve a fever?? Food came quick and we ate in. We were in shock. The sandwiches were jammin with goodness. Our mouths dropped open with surprised looks on our faces. THIS outta do it?! Just like east coast delis. The bread was toasted and buttered to perfection, the meat was tender and deviously delish. First I thought no way am I going to eat this whole Ruben but after the first bite it was ON!! The really nice pickles were a good flavor too. Two different kinds in the little Baggie. One was more like cucumber and the other pickleish. Does that even make sense ? Lol the Cuke one was more green and quite a different flavor than the other. But both very good. We were reading that they are made here in Detroit. The cole slaw he had on his 17 1/2 was so good hubby went back up to counter to get a small side of it. It was perfectly sour & creamy! So thumbs up on this place. Next time in Detroit u have a bookmark!!

This is an interesting place. The sandwiches are large and at times hard to eat. The corned beef is very good. The prices seem pretty high for what your getting. The drink selection is not very good, but I am one that likes adventurous drinks. The deserts are ho hum. The best thing to do is get the sandwich and split it with someone.

I love a philli cheese steak sandwich. And this 12", for $14.00 is not even close to worth it. It was flavorless with a hint of fishy. I only ate 1/4 of it. And thas all I could muster! Boo, to this philli. Boo... Also, the fries. 4 dollars for a side of fries that came out of a bag... Impressive. Save your money, and go to the Wendy's across the street.
